Peter Jolly

Pete Jolly leads teams that develop and implement international community capacity building programmes in the fields of human and animal health involving education, research and policy evaluation that impact at the individual, institutional and societal levels.

Successful programmes include multi-national multi-sector collaborations between government, non-government and commercial organisations using a One Health approach across South Asia, funded by the European Union and World Bank. Massey University also delivers Master's degree education in One Health epidemiology and biosecurity and is currently implementing a veterinary education twinning program between Massey University and the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka endorsed by the World Animal Health Organisation (OIE). Pete is a registered veterinarian and prior to joining Massey University, worked as the Professional Development Director for the New Zealand Veterinary Association, as a research scientist in the field of animal reproduction, and as a university lecturer and veterinary clinician specialising in dairy cattle medicine and production in New Zealand.
