Lorna Humm

Lorna is passionate about developing high welfare animal-centric farming systems which nurture animals and people from the soil up. With 10 years’ experience in veterinary medicine, coaching, and holistic health and welfare planning, Lorna enjoys helping farmers develop their systems to build soil, animal and ecological health and profitable, resilient businesses.

With the hands on experience of being a deer farmer along with her husband in Mt Somers,  and being involved in many industry groups and governance roles, Lorna has a practical yet sensitive approach, and enjoys helping clients tailor their stock health planning to meet their farms targets.

With cross sector experience in drystock and dairy, including Health Manager for Deer Industry New Zealand and advisory roles for large corporate farming businesses, Lorna helps capture a group’s vision and facilitates positive change.

Lorna’s love of the land, animals and culture along with her passion for growing outstanding ethical food with a light footprint, mean she is an advocate for the unique food story New Zealand has to offer.
