Melinda has been specialising in the fertiliser industry for over a decade, incorporating her previous analytical experiences in horticultural & animal science laboratories to help farmers achieve a sustainable & profitable business model.
Currently studying her Master of Science in Livestock Health & Production through the Royal Veterinary College in London, Melinda focuses on providing a holistic farm systems approach & offers independent advice for fertiliser & pasture management across New Zealand for all farm systems.
Unfortunately, the current fertiliser industry model encourages farmers to rely heavily on large, often unnecessary inputs of soluble & acidic fertilisers that are inefficient & induce nutrient imbalances. Independence away from the pressure of biased sales representatives is vital to ensure farmers are applying the right nutrients, in the right form, to maximise efficiency, utilisation & sustainability leading to healthier pastures, stock & profits.
Through an analytical & rounded approach, Melinda enjoys helping farmers optimise animal health & production from ground level, with ultimate improvement in whole farm resilience.
